    NSHSS Member

Lauren Kelly, NSHSS member, visited St. Marc, Haiti, on a mission trip this summer.

Lauren was selected along with 18 other students from Archbishop Spalding High School to visit St. Marc, Haiti, in June 2011 for one week.  The ASHS mission team helped to get the new upper school, James Stine College, ready for the upcoming school year by setting up the classrooms, cleaning the school, and painting a mural.

Dr. Mortel, who founded the charitable organization and built the two schools, selected Lauren to represent her school and speak at the High Hopes for Haiti Gala Fundraiser about her experiences in October 2011.

This year she plans to return and continue to help the students in St. Marc, Haiti.
