Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy La Cañada Flintridge, California The Academy is a recognized United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Virtually 100 percent of graduates attend college immediately following graduation, 94 percent matriculating to four-year colleges or universities. FSHA is fully accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools, National Association of Independent Schools, National Catholic Education Association, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Education Association. FSHA is a California 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) is an independent, Catholic, day and resident, college-preparatory school for young women in grades 9-12 founded in 1931 by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose. Lawrence High
School
Cedarhurst, New York Lawrence High School, recognized as a "school of excellence" by New York State Education Department, has also been selected as one of the top 10 schools on Long Island by Long Island Monthly Magazine.
College-level courses, where students may earn college credit, are offered
in conjunction with Long Island University-C.W. Post institute of
Technology and Syracuse University.
Special Projects Program in Science, Mathematics,
Social Studies and English prepare students for the Westinghouse Talent
Search as well as other competitions. Selected students can participate in
Leadership and Peer Group classes, which offer training in leadership skills
and peer mentoring for middle school students. A work study program is also
offered. In addition, Lawrence students have an opportunity to become
involved in the Upward Bound program at Hofstra University. |
