NSHSS School Counselor Appreciation Grant 

NSHSS, in collaboration with the American School Counselor Association, is pleased to offer three $1,000 grants to enable ASCA members to attend the 2016 national conference in New Orleans, July 9-12.  The funds may be used to defray the costs of conference registration, travel and accommodations.  Eligibility:  Any high school counselor and ASCA member currently employed at a public or private high school in the United States.  Applications available: February 1, 2016. Deadline: March 31, 2016

Conference Grants
NSHSS is providing three $1,000 grants to be used during 2016 to help defray costs of educational conference registration, travel, and accommodations. Eligibility: Any high school teacher or counselor currently employed at a public or private high school in the United States or internationally. Deadline: January 31, 2016.  Recipients will be notified by February 15, 2016, and must accept by March 1, 2016.

IB Teacher Grants
$500 grants open to teachers in International Baccalaureate programs. Funds may be used for supplies, materials, field trips or other resources to enhance the the delivery of International Baccalaureate courses. Application available: September 19, 2016. Deadline: October 24, 2016

DECA Chapter Advisor Grant: In partnership with DECA, NSHSS has established a Claes Nobel DECA Advisor Leadership Award to recognize the outstanding contributions of DECA advisors who consistently demonstrate their commitment to preparing students for success in college and in life.  Two awards of $1,000 will be presented to DECA Advisors at the DECA International Career Conference, April 23-26, 2016, in Nashville, Tennessee.  Eligible candidates must be active DECA Advisors currently offering direct instruction at a public or private school in the United States or abroad. Application requires a resume, personal statement, principal’s recommendation, and photo. Deadline: December 31, 2016

Advanced Placement Teacher Grants

$500 grants to support Advanced Placement instruction in any subject. Funds may be used for supplies, materials, field trips or other resources to enhance the delivery of Advanced Placement courses.  The 2015 application is now closed.  Apply for this grant in 2016. Eligibility: Any high school teacher or counselor currently employed at a public or private high school in the United States or internationally.
Application available August 15, 2016.  Deadline: September 23, 2016

Higher Education Degree Grant: 

We are honored to recognize our Claes Nobel Educators of Distinction and in order to help educators achieve their professional development goals, NSHSS is providing four (4) awards of $2,500 each to help with the costs of tuition and course-related expenses for teachers and counselors who are enrolling in university courses in Summer 2016, Fall, 2016, or Spring 2017.  Application available: October 1, 2015. Deadline: February 15, 2016
