Costs and Travel Details

We have confirmed the following agenda. The costs for the trip have been negotiated to include the Great Barrier Reef. We have been able to include this at no additional cost. The total land travel fee for Sidney and Cairns is a total of $2900 for 10 days. This is an outstanding price. We are teaming up with HCI Travel to handle our air transportation. Their hours of operation are 8:30a.m to 5p.m EST. Their phone numbers are (800) 554-4754 or (404) 841-3100. The roundtrip ticket to Los Angeles to Sidney to Cairns via Brisbane to Los Angeles is approximately $1450  (plus domestic connection travel). You are required to contact HCI travel agency immediately to book your airfare.  HCI will be able to organize all of your air travel arrangements from your home town to Australia and back. Remember when booking your ticket the name on your ticket must match exactly as it appears on your passport; if it does not customs will not allow you to enter the country.

You will need a visa as well as a passport to travel to Australia. The travel agency will obtain a visa for each person booking through them. Also a very important point is that the Australian government requires that all passports are valid at least 6 months past the travel date. This means that your passport must be valid at least up to February 2, 2007 to be allowed to enter Australia.

In regards to the land travel, space is limited; therefore, we will need a 50% deposit of $1,450 by May 22.  The deposit is non-refundable. You may contact Stephanie Servy at (866) 343-1800 with your credit card number or mail a check to her attention. The check should be made payable to 'NSHSS'. 

Important to note, the final amount of $1450 will be due no later than June 15.  Now just to recap the important points for you to remember:

1.      Mail check or call Stephanie with credit card number to pay $1450 deposit by May 22. Contact her for last possible deadline date. The deposit is non-refundable.

2.      Call HCI Travel to book flight at (800) 554-4754 between 8:30a.m and 5p.m EST. Your flight must be booked no later than May 22.

3.      Secure a passport and Australian visa.

4.      Final amount of $1450 is due no later than June 15.
