Career Prep

NSHSS believes that career prep should start in high school. Confirming one's passion, or discovering a new one can lead to wiser career and life decisions in college and beyond. NSHSS has developed partnerships and programs that can enlighten, simplify and save as it pertains to career preparation.

Each year NSHSS surveys its students about their career aspirations and publishes the results. Check out the 2012 survey results. Additionally, we participate in corporate conferences such as the Linkage Diversity Summit and have partnered with the World Diversity Leadership Summit (WDLS). NSHSS members are invited to attend WDLS, one of top global conferences on diversity and have the opportunity to learn and interact with corporate executives. In addition, a select number of NSHSS members are invited to participate on a speaker’s panel on millennial/generational diversity.

My College Guide
NSHSS partner, My College Guide, includes a very interactive discussion on their website about career choices as well as other relevant topics to college selection and admissions. My College Guide's "Ask the Guru" dialogue on career choices allows students and parents to ask general and very specific questions on career topics of use to high school and college students.
