National Scholar Awards

To recognize and inspire top NSHSS members we are awarding the National Scholar Awards.  National Scholar Award recipients are selected from the pool of semifinalists who apply for the Claes Nobel Academic Scholarships.  There is one application in the member only area of the website that covers both types of awards. Members selected for the National Scholar Awards receive $1,000 college scholarships. Selection is based on the following criteria:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • School and extracurricular activities and awards
  • Community service
  • Educator recommendation
  • Personal statement

Eligibility

NSHSS members with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher may apply for the Claes Nobel Academic/National Scholar Award Scholarships.

 Important Dates

Applications must be submitted by December 15, 2011.
