NSHSS Student Council 2006-07

We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members for the 2006-07 academic year. These outstanding college students give advice based on their own experiences and offer information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school. Members graduating from high school in 2007 will be eligible to apply for next year's Council.  We are especially pleased to include a "senior council" of previous council members who are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as new council members. Senior Council Member Andrew Thompson Des Moines, Iowa Northwestern University Andrew believes that he shares a "responsibility to inspire younger generations to lead our nation and world communities through character, compassion, and service," and is eager to pursue an active dialogue to fully understand needs and aspirations of NSHSS members.  Andrew has spoken to members at Temple University in Philadelphia and at our Scholar's Day celebration in Washington, D.C.  Read his "Top Ten" tips for college students.
