NSHSS Student Council 2007-08

We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members for the 2007-08 academic year. These outstanding college students give advice based on their own experiences and offer information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school. Members graduating from high school in 2008 will be eligible to apply for next year's Council.  We are especially pleased to include a "senior council" of previous council members who are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as new council members. Council Member Elaine Householder Bidwell, OH Ohio State University Elaine received the NSHSS/Presidential Classroom Public Service Scholarship. She wrote in her winning application that her Presidential Classroom experience brought a small town girl out of her shell and inspired her to run for President of her state Beta Club, and to be elected her Senior Class President.  Her dream is to impact volunteer work in countries where political instability has impeded humanitarian progress. "I would love to help other students to succeed and make the most of their educational opportunities, especially those offered by NSHSS."
