Claes Nobel Academic Scholarship Recipient

Elizabeth is a Claes Nobel Academic Scholarship recipient who came to the U.S. from St. Petersburg, Russia.  She is a Maryland Distinguished Scholar semifinalist and received academic awards in English and History and served as a representative at the Embassy of Israel Student Leadership Seminar in Washington, DC.  A gifted writer, she hopes to makes a difference as an educator, through her voice and through her pen.

“It is a tremendous honor to join the NSHSS Student Council and to help alleviate some of the worries associated with being a high school student.  I believe I can provide a unique perspective as someone who immigrated to the United States in the year 2000.  I hope to share my experiences and my struggles in order to attain successes possible with the help of NSHSS.”
