Erick served as his senior Class President and was selected as a 2007 National Scholar by the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans.  He is also a Gates Millennium Scholar. A Dominican-American, he has overcome difficult circumstances through optimism, education, and dedicated teachers.
Erick spoke to members at our Carter Center Holiday Program in December 2007.
