NSHSS Student Council 2007-08
We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members
for the 2007-08 academic year. These outstanding college
students give advice based on their own experiences and offer
information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities
throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council
provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school.
Members graduating from high school in 2008 will be eligible to
apply for next year's Council. We are especially pleased
to include a "senior council" of previous council members who
are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as
new council members. To contact a student council member, send your email message

Jennifer Zhu
Downers Grove, IL
Georgetown University
Jennifer is a National Scholar
Award recipient
who was also awarded a Projects Abroad program scholarship. She
is a National Merit Semifinalist and recipient of an
International Youth Democracy Summit Scholarship. She
served as a DARE Program Student Leader and was also awarded
a Social Studies Department Scholarship. A first generation
American, she is pursuing international cultural studies at
Georgetown.

great source of information and motivating for me through my
high school years, providing me with endless opportunities.
I hope hope to give back to future members and make their
high school years just as enriching.”
