NSHSS Student Council 2006-07
We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members
for the 2006-07 academic year. These outstanding college
students give advice based on their own experiences and offer
information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities
throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council
provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school.
Members graduating from high school in 2007 will be eligible to
apply for next year's Council. We are especially pleased
to include a "senior council" of previous council members who
are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as
new council members. To contact a student council member, send your email message
to
studentcouncil@nshss.org and be sure to include
the council member's name in the subject line of the email
message.

Langston
is a National Scholar Award recipient who also received a
scholarship from NSHSS Partner National Honors Convocation
to attend its summer medical program in Los Angeles.
Langston is the first black male to graduate at the top of
his class.
“I would definitely love to
be a part of the NSHSS leadership program. I feel like I
could contribute a lot to the organization by encouraging,
informing, empathizing with, and sharing my personal battles
with high school students. I feel as though I owe it to this
society as well as the myriad of gifted students in the
nation who are looking for a down-to-earth, empathetic guide
who may help inspire them to persevere, and foster their own
talents.”
