NSHSS Student Council 2007-08

We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members for the 2007-08 academic year. These outstanding college students give advice based on their own experiences and offer information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school. Members graduating from high school in 2008 will be eligible to apply for next year's Council.  We are especially pleased to include a "senior council" of previous council members who are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as new council members. Council Member Michael Atlas West Friendship, MD University of Maryland Michael is an NSHSS Scholar Award recipient who founded and served as President of his school's mentoring program, Best Buddies.  He is a Ben Carson Scholar and received the Gold Level Presidential Volunteer Award  He also served as as Junior Board Member of the March of Dimes. “I am honored to serve on the Student Council.  I will remain active during college in community service programs, and I will be glad to be of assistance throughout the year."
