NSHSS Student Council 2006-07

We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members for the 2006-07 academic year. These outstanding college students give advice based on their own experiences and offer information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school. Members graduating from high school in 2007 will be eligible to apply for next year's Council.  We are especially pleased to include a "senior council" of previous council members who are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as new council members. To contact a student council member, send your email message to studentcouncil@nshss.org and be sure to include the council member's name in the subject line of the email message.

Council Member

Natasa Kovacevic
Mountain Lakes, New Jersey

Natasa is a Claes Nobel Academic scholarship recipient who made news by scoring a perfect 2400 on the new version of the SAT. She has written widely for NSHSS publications, including a very thoughtful discussion of global warming in January 2006:  http://www.nshss.org/journal/Journal06/kovacevic.html

“As I prepare to enter college life, I would love to offer my perspectives and advice to a wider community of students.  I believe strongly in the value of the Student Council and in its network of accomplished, sincere, and compassionate young people.”
