NSHSS Student Council 2006-07
We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members
for the 2006-07 academic year. These outstanding college
students give advice based on their own experiences and offer
information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities
throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council
provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school.
Members graduating from high school in 2007 will be eligible to
apply for next year's Council. We are especially pleased
to include a "senior council" of previous council members who
are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as
new council members. To contact a student council member, send your email message
to
studentcouncil@nshss.org and be sure to include
the council member's name in the subject line of the email
message.

“During high school I am grateful that I was able to find
and passionately pursue my interests (human rights and
international law). Although the college application
process was something formidable and unfathomable to many of
my peers, because of NSHSS it became an immensely rewarding
process of self-discovery to me. I learned the importance
of balance and holistic development and feel that NSHSS
greatly developed my leadership skills; it encouraged me to
take action to create my own opportunities. I would love to
be able to share my insights and help other members to make
the most of their high school years, both academically and
otherwise.”
