NSHSS Student Council 2007-08

We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members for the 2007-08 academic year. These outstanding college students give advice based on their own experiences and offer information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school. Members graduating from high school in 2008 will be eligible to apply for next year's Council.  We are especially pleased to include a "senior council" of previous council members who are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as new council members. Council Member Veronika Bordas San Antonio, Texas Harvard University Veronika is a Claes Nobel Academic Scholarship recipient who is the first in her family to attend college in the United States.  Read some of Veronika's first impressions of college life here. “I feel I can give students from smaller towns advice about finding hidden opportunities and making the most of them.  I had to discover many new resources on my own, and I would be more than happy to share such information with individuals who likewise have little familiarity with the college application process.”
