NSHSS Student Council 2006-07

We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members for the 2006-07 academic year. These outstanding college students give advice based on their own experiences and offer information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school. Members graduating from high school in 2007 will be eligible to apply for next year's Council.  We are especially pleased to include a "senior council" of previous council members who are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as new council members. To contact a student council member, send your email message to studentcouncil@nshss.org and be sure to include the council member's name in the subject line of the email message.

Council Member

Vivian Le
Austin, Minnesota
Mankato State University

Vivian’s family emigrated to American from Vietnam when she was a child, and she plans to earn a nursing degree and become a Family Practitioner, seeing nurses as the “first line of defense.”

“I would like to be a council member because I see that high school students are able to lose sight of their own goals and become lost without guidance.  I wish to use all that I have learned from within both my high school experience and the community in which I grew up to help students make a smooth transition into college life. I understand the feeling from firsthand experience and know the importance of guidance to get back on track both emotionally and academically.  Through individual help, we can make positive differences in the lives of others.”
