NSHSS Student Council 2006-07

We are pleased to introduce our Student Council members for the 2006-07 academic year. These outstanding college students give advice based on their own experiences and offer information on Society programs, scholarships, and activities throughout the upcoming year. Membership on the Student Council provides an important leadership opportunity beyond high school. Members graduating from high school in 2007 will be eligible to apply for next year's Council.  We are especially pleased to include a "senior council" of previous council members who are continuing to serve and provide advise to members as well as new council members. To contact a student council member, send your email message to studentcouncil@nshss.org and be sure to include the council member's name in the subject line of the email message.

Council Member

Zach Greenberg
Scottsdale, Arizona
Washington University in St. Louis

Zach is a Claes Nobel Scholarship recipient who writes:  “I think that participating in the Student Council will be a good experience for me and a way to pass down all of the valuable knowledge I’ve gained about high school and college life.”

Zachary has demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities as his school's National Honor Society President, Varsity Basketball Team Captain, and International Baccalaureate Program Ambassador. He would plans to study law in college and promises to continue to follow the practice of making time for "tikkun olam," a Hebrew phrase that means "taking care of the world,"--of understanding the importance of social action and giving back to the community.
