UCLA Member Event for High School Juniors

On Friday, August 24th, 2007 400 NSHSS members and parents from the state of California gathered at The University of California, Los Angeles, for an admissions-focused member event. Families heard from Dr. Vu Thanh Tran, Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools, as well as from admissions counselors who described the application process and available programs of study for freshmen at UCLA. Veronica Squires, University Relations Coordinator with NSHSS, shared a congratulatory message and Society update, and NSHSS student council member Kinbo Lee, current senior at UCLA, led the members through the NSHSS member induction pledge. The day also included a campus tour, lunch, student panel discussion, and tour of the famous UCLA Fowler Museum. NSHSS would like to thank Fabienne Mcphail Naples, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission & Relations with Schools, for her leadership in making this event possible.
