 Claes Nobel presents NSHSS scholarship to Stanford freshman Langston Wesley |
NSHSS members and their families gathered on June 26 on the UCLA campus for recognition, networking, and practical college advice. Among the featured speakers were UCLA Admissions Counselor Jared Zack; representatives from the National Honors Con- vocation in Los Angeles; and Kaplan's Southern California Pre-College Program. NSHSS Advisory Board Chair Claes Nobel delivered the keynote address.
In addition, Student Council Member Anne Lewis, talked with the group about college tips she learned from her freshman year
at the College of Charleston -

Award to Langston Wesley, of Chicago, who is entering
Stanford University in the fall. California Educators of Distinction
were also honored as well. Mr. Nobel announced that NSHSS has been
invited by the University of California, Santa Barbara, to hold an event
on its campus next spring.
