"May the Best of Your Past Be the Worst of Your Future!"

As a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, I am delighted to share with you the exciting and rewarding summer I've had. This summer I've joined other outstanding sophomores and juniors from across America--young women and men who shared common dreams and interest as I do. I had a once in a lifetime experience at University of Loyola in Los Angeles California at the National Honors Convocation Medical Program.

"We've learned that success requires determination and teamwork. I am honored and proud to have been selected to participate in this great summer activity."

During the ten days of the program in June, I had the opportunity of receiving first-hand experience, to examine state of the art diagnostic tools and medical specialties. I gained knowledge and received a valuable head start toward the career and success of achieving my dream. I studied and learned from some of the nation's most distinguished medical leaders and researchers. The medical experience at University of Loyola was educational, inspirational, and motivational. I made great friendships with future colleagues, and I was fortunate to view the world of medicine from a perspective unlike any other. Because of this experience, I am more focused and excited about what my future holds.

We've learned that success requires determination and teamwork. I am honored and proud to have been selected to participate in this great summer activity
