She has also established the Tyra Banks TZONE Foundation, an annual summer program to help adolescent girls (age 13) from Los Angeles schools overcome self-esteem problems. The summer program is free to the girls, and Tyra not only helps select the participants, she also spends several days camping out with the kids. NSHSS Board Member Tyra Banks In addition, she has established "The Tyra Banks Scholarship," a fund that grants African-American girls the opportunity to attend her alma mater, Immaculate Heart High. Tyra doesn't just talk about making a difference in people's lives; she lives it.
