Upcoming Events for 2007

This year we have a number of exciting member events available for NSHSS members. A celebration of academic achievement, member events are open to all members and their immediate family at no charge. We'll be traveling from coast to coast with Mr. Nobel, recognizing students, connecting with college admissions officers from the top universities, and perusing career fairs with exhibits from outstanding corporations. Make sure to mark your calendars for these incredible events that will mature you as a scholar and build your resume and transcripts for college.

Other events will be planned throughout the year. You may also check out our previous events by visiting the Event Photo Gallery. Our 2007 events are listed below, and more will be added throughout the year. Please check our events site at www.nshss.org/rsvp/events.asp for updates. NSHSS will hold its annual holiday event at The Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta, Georgia on December 1, 2007. The event will honor our scholars and distinguished educators, and include a panel discussion with college admissions officials from several top colleges and universities in the southeast. Topics covered will range from the various elements of the college application process, including timelines, common applications, early action and early decision, interviews, college visits, college selection, and much more. After the program, members will have the opportunity to meet the college representatives and ask questions in a college fair setting. Last year colleges in attendance were Emory, Yale, the University of Georgia, Spelman College, Morehouse College, SUNY Stony Brook, and Agnes Scott College.
