University of California, Santa Barbara
Member Program, Meet with Nobel Laureates

On March 3, 2007 NSHSS members and families will congregate at The Corwin Pavilion on The University of California, Santa Barbara's campus for an exciting program hosted by UCSB University Chancellor Henry T. Yang.  This event offers a great opportunity to meet Founder and Advisory Board Chair Claes Nobel, senior member of the Nobel family which established the Nobel Prizes, as well as to socialize with Nobel Laureates and your fellow NSHSS members.

The member event is a special program where Mr. Nobel will recognize you.  UCSB faculty member and Nobel Laureate Herbert Kroemer, Ph.D., will also inspire the group, encouraging you and other fellow members to be world leaders and future laureates.  Dr. Kroemer won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2000 and his technology has significantly impacted the world to improve the quality of life for mankind.  The program will also honor scholarship recipients and outstanding educators.  Information about NSHSS international summer trips will be available as well.

The program will be preceded by an optional admissions presentation about the UC Santa Barbara campus.  If you would like to learn more about UCSB and the surrounding area, please see http://www.ucsb.edu/ and visit the Santa Barbara Convention and Visitors Bureau at www.santabarbaraca.com
