  • NSHSS Presents 6th Annual Career Survey Results

    May 13, 2013

NSHSS presents its 2013 NSHSS Scholar Career Survey results charting the preferences and attitudes of its members in the area of career choices, employers, workplace environment, technology, and communications. The Career Survey provides insight into the career expectations and aspirations of our high school and college students, as well as young professionals. Each year, these findings are used by companies and organizations to gain better insight into the minds of the millennial generation. The survey respondents continue to rank medical and health-related fields as their number one choice of major and career, tending to view these careers as socially important and fulfilling.

NSHSS presents these results throughout the year at corporate conferences. NSHSS members recently participated in a panel discussion, in Atlanta, GA, at the 2013 Institute for Leading Diversity and Inclusion, attended by over 500 corporate executives. The NSHSS session explored ways that diverse generations can work together and optimize young talent. NSHSS members did an outstanding job representing NSHSS and expressing their views on bringing innovative solutions to the workplace, following their passions, striving for a work/life balance and contributing to the betterment of the world. NSHSS thanks the following panelists for an outstanding job in representing NSHSS and their peers on the panel:

    — Brandon Espinosa, Cornell University, 2011, NSHSS
