For example, our business programs are accredited both by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), our programs in Veterinary Science are accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), our tourism programs are accredited by UNWTO. TedQual and our Bachelor of Engineering is accredited by Engineers Australia. Where is UQ?
UQ has four campuses in an around Brisbane, the capital city of the state of Queensland. It is the third largest city in Australia, after Sydney and Melbourne and it has a multicultural population of around two million.
It has all the advantages of a large modern city yet it retains the friendliness and charm of a small regional town. The cost of living in Brisbane is considered more affordable than living in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth according to the 2012 Mercer Worldwide Cost of Living Survey.
An hour’s drive south of the city, you will find the golden beaches and theme parks of the Gold Coast. North from Brisbane you will find the Sunshine Coast beaches, national parks, rainforests and attractions like the Australia Zoo. And just off the coast you will find the pristine Stradbroke and Moreton Islands, both popular day-trip and holiday destinations for locals and visitors alike.
Brisbane has hosted many large scale cultural and sporting events including the Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup and in 2014 it will host the G20 summit.
