How I hope to make a difference
I believe in the sincerity of others unless they show me otherwise. There is much injustice in the world and I plan to work toward being in a position where I can help such as becoming a lawyer or working in politics.

My future
I am hoping to eventually attend law school or perhaps work in another related field. Hopefully over the next few years I will be able to identify a niche where I can blend all my talents together to try and make a difference in the world.

Philosophy
Accept people for what they are--always give them the benefit of a doubt. Don't always believe in first impressions.

About me
I have the motivation to go beyond my reach. I believe every person deserves the opportunity to achieve his or her potential and I'm setting myself to achieve that goal. I'm interested in a variety of things - I have played piano for ten years; I am a competitive swimmer; I also work four hours every week to save money for college.

How I hope to make a difference
Other than excelling in my classes, I also take the extra step to find new challenges for my mind and body. I enjoy feeding my natural curiosity by engaging in conversations that delve deeper than what my classes offer, keeping myself aware of current events and philosophies and away from superficiality. My journalistic excellence in serving as the editor of my school newspaper is the fruit of my strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the responsibility I feel to inform people of everything that's happening around the world. I'd like to become a journalist or social worker, and help people to see the good in themselves, realize their talents and purpose, understand how to best use their gifts, and ultimately find satisfaction in their lives. I admire those who seek to find their purpose in life and who are brave enough to live according to their beliefs. I wish to become one of them.

My future
Keeping my future options open, I'm currently interested in journalism, which is a major part of my identity due to my various involvements in the journalism program at school. I occasionally write and film my written manuscripts with my friends. I also film shows like "Voices of Tomorrow" at our local television facility. I've got the appreciation for gaining new levels of understanding through creativity and wish to become a writer, musician, artist, or performing artist.

Philosophy
"Dreams were his life and his life was in his dreams"--So dream big.

About me
I am an enthusiastic student of everything. I want to know, do, try, learn, achieve, and participate in as many different things as I can. I think that makes a well-rounded person. I enjoy helping others succeed while setting high goals for myself as well.

How I hope to make a difference
I believe that the more experiences I have, the more knowledge I can gain, and the more variety of people I can meet, and the better person I will be as an adult. People come in so many different personalities and backgrounds, it's important to learn about them and how they respond to situations. All people need to learn to get along and make things work regardless of differences.

My future
I hope to attend the Air Force Academy and earn an engineering degree. I hope to learn to fly, experience all the Air Force has to offer, serve a mission for my church in the process, and then give the Air Force back all the expertise I have to offer. Eventually, I hope to start a business of my own in the engineering field.

Philosophy
I was taught early to try everything, master nothing, but be a student of all subjects and interests. Because of this, I have no specific hobbies, but I love many, many activities. All sports interest me, all sciences interest me, and I love being part of service clubs and helping people.

I want to be more than a person who achieved against all odds, but a living testimony of how a person can fight against adversity and use it as a weapon in their journey toward success. Most of all I want to show people what can happen if you step out on faith instead of drawback in fear.

I plan to pursue a career in Physical Therapy or Psychology. I would love to work with sports teams, health clinics, and children. I am currently looking into applying to University of Miami, University of Florida, Florida State University, Boston University, New York University, Clemson University, or the University of Connecticut. As you can see my options are still very open.
