About me
I'm probably the biggest music freak you will find.  I love beat boxing and playing the cello, sax, and piano for about everyone and anything.  I also adore the Spanish language.  Plus, I thrive on tackling academic challenges to enhance my knowledge.  For my eleventh grade year, I decided to attend boarding school at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.  It has taught me how to focus, to study, and to become a more involved and self-aware person about the world around me.

How I hope to make a difference
In college, I desire to do research in music cognition.  Through my research, I hope to become a great advocate for continuing musical education throughout school systems in the nation today.  From what I've read, music is an integral tool for a more holistic education.  I also hope to travel to impoverished countries and aid the relief efforts in those places.

My future
I hope to pursue a degree in ether music, Spanish, or biochemistry.  Afterwards, I plan to attend medical school to become a neurologist and receive an MD and PhD.

Philosophy
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."   - Philippians 4:13

About me
I am currently a junior at the Academy of Mt. St. Ursula High School.  I am involved in many activities both in and out of school.  I serve on the school newspaper as well as the year book staff.  I am the assistant lighting director for school plays. When I am not behind the scenes, I am a part of the MSU players as a performer. I am a figure skater and Founding Member of Figure Skating in Harlem.  I have been a part of this organization for eight years. This summer I attended Syracuse University’s Summer College for High School Students and earned six college credits.

How I hope to make a difference in the world
I hope that I can inspire the people of the world to not always follow the path that everyone wants you to.  I hope that everyone can be themselves and put an end to the false guises that everyone puts on for acceptance.

My future
I plan to attend  a four-year college or university.  At school, I anticipate majoring in English and minoring in performing arts (acting, dancing). Upon graduation I would like to attend law school.  I plan to specialize in entertainment and sports law.  I enjoy sports and the arts and feel that there are so many young performers and athletes in need of honest legal assistance.

My Philosophy
I live my life with one overarching philosophy: “I am what I am...different.” This is a quote that I developed to basically define myself.  I know that I will not always be liked or accepted by everyone, and I love that about me.  I feel that it’s great to be different and unique--even though you might face criticism, the joy you get from being yourself and expressing your originality outweighs all  of the negativity.

How I hope to make a difference
I hope to bring information and a friendly disposition to the world.  My mother has made it clear to me that we must give back to our communities and those in need.  The values she has shared with me will carry over through my college years and into adulthood.

My future
I plan to major in Atmospheric Sciences and minor in Mass Communications.  I will also seek a master’s degree by fall of 2012.  Initially I will kick off my career as a meteorologist; however, I also hope to acquire experience in many facets of the world of journalism through internships and work-scholarship programs.  Based on these experiences, I will select my master’s degree focus.

Philosophy
If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the shoulder of giants.” – Isaac Newton
