Congratulations to member Jason A. Sexton, who was recently accepted into the
United States Military Academy at West Point. Jason is very proud to have
received the offer of admissions and states; "I hope I can bring honor to my
family, as well as myself. I am thankful for my offer of admission and have
accepted it whole heartedly. I am ready to become a member of the Corps of
Cadets and join the long grey line!"
Congratulations to NSHSS member Ursula Suzanne Dilley, a junior at Salem High
School in Salem, Virginia, who recently received the Silver Medal and the
Maxima Cum Laude certificate for outstanding performance in the National Latin
Examination. She was also selected as a semi-finalist in the Who's Who Among
American High School Students scholarship program. In addition, her painting
titled "Heart-Throb" was selected by the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge and the
Roanoke Arts Commission for a Certificate of Distinction at the 22nd annual high
school art exhibition at the Richard Wetherill Visual Arts Center at Hollins
University in Virginia.
