Georgia member Jennifer Roseberry crowned Miss Teen Georgia American Queen
Jennifer Roseberry, of Loganville, Georgia, a recent graduation of South Gwinnett High School, was crowned Miss Teen Georgia American Queen in April 2007. She will represent Georgia this summer in the National pageant from August 1-4 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Jennifer will be working with the DASH Foundation (Domestic Abuse Stops Here.) She will be talking with teenagers about abusive relationships during her reign as Miss Teen Georgia and hopes to makes a difference.
Jennifer was recognized as an Honor Student at her graduation and plans to earn a degree in Education at the University of Georgia. She aspires to become a high school math and would also love to coach softball or basketball.

Michigan Member Ti'Kyra Napoleon Recognized for Leadership and Service
Ti'Kyra Napoleon of Saginaw, Michigan, has been recognized for her leadership with her selection as state representative for the National Student Leadership Conference held in Washington, D.C.; additionally, she was her selected as state representative for the National State Leadership Conference which she will attend in July at Michigan State University. She has also received the United States Minority Leadership Academy Award for Academics and Leadership and the Student Service Award from President George W. Bush for community service. As well as receiving the Girl Scout Silver Award for her project on Organ Donor Awareness, Ti'Kyra was selected as a State Finalist in the national American Miss Pageant in Michigan. She attends the Saginaw Arts and Science Academy for the gifted and academically talented, where her concentration is Global Studies.
Texas Member Taylor Hewitt Named Gates Millennium Scholar
Taylor Hewitt, of Southwest High School in San Antonio, Texas, has been named a Gates Millennium Scholar for the Class of 2007 for her strong leadership, community service, and academic achievements. She was selected as one of the 1,000 students who were chosen from 11,000 applicants for the Gates Scholars for the GMS Class of 2007 scholarships. Taylor also received the Ford Salute Scholarship, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Scholarship, Southwest ISD Student Scholarship, Church Women United Scholarship, Ronald McDonald Scholarship, and her church home scholarship, The Saving Faith Church Fellowship Scholarship. She will attend the University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in nursing to become a nurse anesthetist. Above all, Taylor thanks her grandparents for their love and support throughout the years.
Virginia Member Kevin Leach wins first place at Future Business Leaders of America Conference
Kevin Leach, a recent graduate of Annandale High School, won First Place in Northern Virginia at the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Conference for Spread Sheet Applications. He then competed for the State Championship, and won First Place. On June 28th, he will compete for the National Championship. This is the first time that Annandale High School has had a student qualify for the national level in 51 years. Congratulations to Kevin and NSHSS wishes him the best of luck at the national competition.
