NSHSS Member Reaches for the Stars – Jayme Leigh Davis Wins Leading Role in Feature Film

Jayme Davis, a junior at Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Arizona, may one day have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She recently starred in "Vanquish," an independent feature film, screened at the Sedona International Film Festival in October.

Jayme first stepped on stage at the age of nine when she landed a part in her fourth grade school play, "Theseus and the Minotaur." Encouraged by one of her teachers, she enrolled as a student with the Phoenix Film Institute and subsequently numerous film workshops. Jayme's passion for acting netted her lead roles in two high school plays. Jayme is also an accomplished pianist and percussionist. Her proudest accomplishment to date is being cast in the lead role in "Vanquish." Look for Jayme on the red carpet one of these days!

Although very busy with acting and a demanding academic schedule, Jayme is currently in the top 5% of her graduating class.
