Since its founding in 2002, the National Society of High School Scholars has been collaborating with top universities around the country to connect our members with resources regarding the college admissions process. This year, Mr. Nobel and the NSHSS staff have launched a program to establish formal relationships with top colleges and universities to reach out to our NSHSS members to host events, facilitate online chat sessions, publish articles, and many other benefits. We will be regularly highlighting our collaborating universities through the Monthly Update with snapshots of a college campus or with notes from an Admissions Official or current student. This month we are pleased to highlight Louisiana State University's STEM Research Scholars Program (LASTEM).
LSU Offers Program that Challenges Scholars in Math and Science
Louisiana State University is committed to challenging students to achieve the highest levels of intellectual and personal development as a vital part of the mission. In pursuit of this goal, the Office of Strategic Initiatives, with funding from the National Science Foundation and Research Corporation, is proud to have established the Louisiana Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (LASTEM) Research Scholars Program. The goal of the LA-STEM Program is to promote the life and diversity of the STEM student body by bringing together students with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
