Garret Gomez selected for Wendy's High School Heisman Award
Garrett Gomez, of Santa Fe Christian Schools, Solana Beach, California, was recognized by his principals, teachers, guidance counselors, and coaches for his high school’s 2007 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. This prestigious award honors outstanding high school seniors who excel in academics, athletics, and community service. Garrett’s achievements on and off the field are impressive. He is serving as his 2008 Class Salutatorian and was selected as the 2007 Graduation Flag Bearer and Varsity and Junior Varsity Team Baseball Captain. He is also a Union Tribune All Academic Team member and is active in community service, including extensive volunteering with the Children’s Heritage Foundation, St. Vincent’s de Paul, the Boys and Girls Club, Solana Beach Eagles Baseball Clinics, and Santa Fe Christian Baseball Camps.
Garrett will be a Hopkins Student-Athlete study engineering, while playing baseball at Johns Hopkins University in the fall of 2008.
