Discover Korea through the Konkuk University International Summer Programs

Konkuk University in Seoul, Korea, is collaborating with NSHSS to provide international educational and cultural opportunities to members. Konkuk University is one of the leading private universities in Korea, with over 1,000 full-time faculty members, offering 120 undergraduate, 69 graduate, and 55 doctoral degrees. The university has an enrollment of about 25,000 students including around 3,000 graduate students. The university is renowned for its research, having over 30 research centers and institutes.

The International Summer Program (ISP) at Konkuk University is a one-month long summer program that provides a great opportunity for international students wanting to learn and experience Korea and its culture. This program is suitable for students majoring in various fields and especially valuable to those having a general interest in Korea and Asia. Students can now utilize their summer vacation to gain an understanding of this vibrant region that is considered a global economic powerhouse and a gateway to the world.


The Summer Program will offer variety of courses in English (Transferable Credits), such as International Relation Studies, Science & Engineering, Arts, Economy & Business, and Humanities. Students will be put into small-sized classes which also include various company visits and field trips to historical sights in Korea.

Students will also have a chance to build an International Human Network and become friends with students from various countries and cultures. ISP will also provide memorable experiences, with cultural workshops and social activities, such as learning Taekwondo (Korean martial arts), arts & crafts, and cooking. Students will stay at the school residence hall ‘Ku;l House’, which was newly built in 2006, and they will have very close access to the shopping center, cinema, University Hospital and department store within 5-minute walking distance from school. The ISP program also offers an optional one week trip to China! The group will visit and stay at a sister university of Konkuk University, in Shanghai. Students will sit at special lectures and explore the city, take field trips to historical places, and learn about Chinese culture.
