Georgia Member Derrick Gary Achieving Success on the Stage
Derrick Gary, Druid Hills High School junior from Atlanta, Georgia, has been accepted into The Company Acting Studio, an exclusive conservatory for aspiring actors located in Atlanta. Derrick is already achieving success as an actor, currently performing a lead role in the stage play “Just Another Girl,” a teen hip-hop stage play that focuses on teen dating violence. The performances are being staged at the Clayton County Performing Arts Center. He is also an extra in the upcoming Tyler Perry movie “Pastor Brown.” Derrick won the “Best Actor” award for the Class of 2009 after a performance in a school production at Druid Hills High School. Derrick has also signed with Real People Talent Agency in Atlanta and the Avenue Agency in Nashville, Tennessee. Derrick is planning to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina after graduation in 2009. We wish him the best of luck and expect to see his name in lights!
