NSHSS is continually expanding its scholarship opportunities for members to help fulfill its mission of recognizing academic excellence and encouraging members to apply their unique talents, vision, and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world. Robert Sheppard Leadership Award

Application
The Robert Sheppard Leadership Award was established in memory of NSHSS Vice President Robert Sheppard, who worked for twenty years with college and high school honor societies. He was a great friend dedicated to helping young people and spent his life devoting himself to volunteer service. This scholarship is awarded for outstanding initiative in community service. Claes Nobel Academic Scholarship and National Scholar Awards
Semifinalists will be selected from the applications which have been submitted and notified by mail in January. Those selected will be requested to submit additional material, including transcript, personal statement, and educator recommendation. The scholarship committee will award both Claes Nobel Academic Scholarships of $5,000 and National Scholar Awards of $1,000 from the pool of semifinalists. Winners are selected based on the strength of their academic record, demonstrated leadership, and service activities.
