APPLY FOR THE NSHSS STUDENT COUNCIL!
NSHSS Student Council members are college students who offer advice to high school students and are invited to participate in members events. Serving on the Council can provide a great leadership opportunity. NSHSS members who are graduating from high school in 2008 are eligible to apply for the Student Council next year. Applications are now available on the website. Please apply by August 1, 2008.

NSHSS Hosts College Fair in U.S. Russell Senate Building
NSHSS hosted a college fair on May 30 in Washington, D.C. on May 30, as part of our 5th annual Scholar’s Day Celebration in the United States capital. Nearly 200 student members and their families began this memorable day visiting an NSHSS college fair featuring representatives from 18 top domestic and international universities. Members met and learned about college opportunities from Columbia, Purdue, the University of Maryland, SUNY colleges, The George Washington, University, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Rice, Pennsylvania State University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the University of Georgia, Ohio University, the University of Rochester, and the University of Michigan from the U.S. and met with the following international universities: Dublin City University (Ireland), University of Otago, (New Zealand), Victoria University of Wellington, (New Zealand) Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japan), Linköping University (Sweden).
