NSHSS is continually expanding its scholarship opportunities for members to help fulfill its mission of recognizing academic excellence and encouraging members to apply their unique talents, vision, and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world. This year we have awarded more than $100,000 in college scholarships.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is looking for student-written articles about the college-transition and admission process (the college search, application process, transitioning from high school to college, etc). High school juniors and seniors and college freshmen and sophomores are invited to enter. Finalists will have their work published in the Winter 2009 Journal of College Admission special issue, “The Student Perspective: My Transition Experience.” Seven finalists will be awarded $1,000 each. You can search this database by state for critical information on student financial aid, tuition and fees, residency requirements, and other relevant policies regarding colleges in your particular state.
