Scholarships for Summer Engineering Program
The University of Vermont Governor's Institute on Engineering has 40 full tuition scholarships for students in grades 9-11 to attend its summer program for students interested in science, math, or engineering. Students who participate in the Global Challenge program, a non-profit, scholarship program funded by the NSF, can apply for these scholarships. There is no cost to participate in Global Challenge. Students who are interested in science, math or engineering should check out the camp and the Global Challenge program and if interested contact Sally O’Rourke, Director of Student Advising for The Global Challenge. Students who have not started this year's Global Challenge competition are still eligible for the summer program scholarship if they express an interest and commitment to trying the program next year. There are some travel funds available to students with demonstrated need. These scholarships are open to anyone regardless of sex, race, financial status, etc.

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund was founded in 1975 to help Hispanic college students complete their education. HSF exists for one simple reason: to strengthen America by advancing the college education of Hispanics. In support of its mission to double the rate of Hispanics earning college degrees, HSF provides the Latino community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country. In its 32-year history, HSF has awarded more than 82,000 scholarships worth more than $221 million to Latinos from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands attending nearly 2,000 colleges and universities.
