Florida Member Janna Peach Receives President's Volunteer Service Award

Recently, high school junior Janna Peach, who attends A. Crawford Mosley High School in Lynn Haven, Florida, received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. The Council was established in 2003 to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making in their communities and encourage more people to serve. The Council created the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.

Janna also attended the Presidential Inauguration in January with the Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference.

Additionally, Janna received Honorable Mention for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Service to the Community from the Nestle "Very Best in Youth '09" Program. The program was created to spotlight the best in youth leadership, identifying teens whose efforts are making a profound impact in the lives of others.

Congratulations to Peach, who is a remarkable role model for her peers.
