NSHSS President James Lewis and Vice President Maudelle Driskell participated in the conference, meeting with international administrators and headmasters to represent the Society's global membership to international educators.
Peter S. Mottek, NSHSS parent and CEO and Country Manager of Barclays Portugal, was also featured as a conference speaker. Peter and his wife Mercedes, NSHSS International Regional Parent Chair, are the parents of member Dominique and her younger brother Carl, who both attend St. Dominic’s International IBO World School in São Domingos de Rana, Portugal.
Mr. Nobel has also been invited to participate in this year's European Student Eco Forum in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 11-14, 2009. The Forum is a four-day, student run conference that brings together secondary school pupils from around the region to discuss major environmental issues of the day and to help develop sustainable solutions to ecological problems in different localities. This year's theme asks, "Is Development Sustainable?"
NSHSS looks forward to connecting with our future global leaders throughout the world at international conferences and gatherings like the Eco Forum.
