Georgia Member Taylor LeBaron Inspires Positive Living through his Teen Fitness Book

Taylor will join the ranks of 20 teens selected for Winter Olympic Torch relay

Taylor LeBaron, a high school junior from Ballground, Georgia, attending Chrysalis Experiential Academy, has written a teen fitness book scheduled for release on January 4, 2010, from HCI Books (best known for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series). His book, Cutting Myself in Half: 150 Pounds Lost One Byte at a Time, chronicles his inspiring personal weight loss journey. Taylor reduced his weight from 297 pounds to 145 pounds using a self-developed, teen-oriented fitness program.

He has also been selected through a national contest sponsored by Cola-Cola to be part of the 2010 Winter Olympic Torch relay as one of 20 teens from across the United States who represent positive living. Taylor is scheduled to carry the torch on January 18, 2010, through Calgary, Canada, as the torch makes it way to Vancouver for the Winter Games. The teen torchbearers were selected because of their passion for positive living, helping to create enduring change in their local and global communities.
