Scholarships for NSHSS Members to Study Abroad 03-09-2017

We’re part of an interconnected world, and studying abroad can be a great way to better learn about and respect the world around you. We have several study abroad scholarships available for NSHSS members.

Language Study

EF International Language Centers
EF International Language Centers offers students the chance to study abroad and learn a language in some of the world’s greatest cities. For over 50 years, their mission has been to give confidence and freedom to people of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds by providing life-changing education for global citizens. They offer immersive courses in 6 languages and 12 destinations around the globe. Four scholarships are available for NSHSS members to study the language of his or her choice in the country and date of their choosing. EF also offers NSHSS members a 10% discount on all weekly courses.

Internship Opportunities Abroad

The Intern Group
The Intern Group is the leading provider of international internships programs in London, Madrid, Hong Kong, Colombia and Australia, and gives young and talented applicants the ability to launch their career while exploring a new culture. Their intern abroad programs span all sectors, from roles in Business, Marketing, PR and Finance to positions in governments and NGOs. All NSHSS members benefit from a 10% discount year-round on the internship program of their choice.

Connect-123 Internship Programs
Since 2006, Connect-123 has assisted gap year, undergraduate and graduate students to find challenging, career-related internship, volunteer and service learning projects in a wide range of fields including human rights, journalism, education, business consulting, entrepreneurship, health care, engineering and sustainable development. With programs in Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Dublin and Shanghai, they provide substantial local support, including secure housing, logistics support and regular social programs (ranging from cultural tours to group community service activities). All programs run throughout the year and have flexible start dates and durations.

Study Abroad

 

The American Business School Paris
The American Business School Paris offers Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration, International Business, International Finance or International and Luxury Marketing, which are dually accredited in the Unites States and recognized in France. They also offer all NSHSS members with at least a 3.0 GPA a 20% reduction in tuition cost for the first year of the degree programs listed above.

Bangor University
Bangor University is ranked in the top 40 in the UK for research (excluding specialist institutions and single-submission universities). The Research Excellence Framework recognized that more than three-quarters of Bangor's research is either world-leading or internationally excellent, ahead of the average for UK universities. Bangor University offers tuition based scholarships in the amount of $6,000 to qualifying NSHSS members.

Brescia University College
Brescia University College is a university experience like no other, described by our students as the transformative learning community for passionate, creative young women who seek to fulfill their personal aspirations and lead boldly in a rapidly changing world. Brescia University College offers a $3,000 scholarship for a qualifying NSHSS member.

Campus Paris Eiffel
Campus Paris Eiffel welcomes participants from around the world in different disciplines who have the curiosity to learn the French language, French general and business cultures or the French engineering industries. The institutions present on Campus Paris Eiffel are three of the French “Grandes Ecoles:” ECE Paris – Graduate School of Engineering, ESCE Paris – International Business School (Groupe ESCE) and EBS Paris – European Business School. The tuition for each of these programs is 1,850€ ($2,040); however, Campus Paris Eiffel is offering FREE TUITION for qualifying NSHSS Members.

Koç University
Koç University was founded in 1993 as a non-profit private university in Istanbul, Turkey. In the twenty years since its establishment, Koç University has become one of the leading universities in Turkey, distinguished by notable contributions to the elevation of education, knowledge and service both domestically and beyond. Full Scholarship opportunities are available for high caliber NSHSS scholars applying to specific graduate programs. The scholarship includes: tuition waiver (full or partial), free accommodation, health insurance, working place, a laptop and a generous monthly stipend. Full and partial scholarships are also available for undergraduate programs as well.

Macquarie University
Located in the heart of Sydney’s high-technology business precinct, Macquarie University is one of the world’s best modern universities. It is renowned for its excellence in interdisciplinary teaching and research, real-world approach to learning, highly skilled graduates and first-class facilities. Rated 5 stars by QS, Macquarie is one of only five Australian universities to be awarded the maximum 5 stars in all eight major categories: teaching, employability, research, internationalisation, facilities, innovation, access, and specialist subjects. Macquarie offers NSHSS members a merit scholarship worth $10,000 AUD, which will be applied to the student’s first full semester’s tuition.

Newcastle University
Newcastle is located in the Northeast of England, and has a global reputation for high quality teaching and cutting edge research. They have a tradition of welcoming students from all over the world with currently more than 4,000 international students from over 100 countries. Newcastle University is offering one $3000 scholarship for an NSHSS member from the United States.

Technion Israel Institute of Technology
Technion Israel Institute of Technology is a public research university in Haifa, Israel. Founded in 1912, Technion is the country's oldest university. Consistently ranked among the world’s top 50, Technion is a major source of the innovation and brainpower that drives the Israeli economy. The Institute offers degrees in science and engineering, and related fields such as architecture, medicine, industrial management and education. Although the official language of instruction at Technion is Hebrew, several undergraduate and graduate study programs and courses are taught in English through Technion International. Technion Israel Institute of Technology is offering three $5,000 scholarships to eligible NSHSS Members

The University of Western Australia
The University of Western Australia (UWA) is recognized internationally as an excellent research-intensive university. Established in 1911, the University's groundbreaking research, quality academic staff and state-of-the-art facilities combine to offer a vibrant student experience. UWA is the only Western Australian university to belong to the Group of Eight – a coalition of the top research universities in Australia – and it is one of only two Australian members of the Worldwide Universities Network, a partnership of 18 research-led universities from Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific. The University of Western Australia offers an automatic $5,000 per year scholarship to any NSHSS member accepted to UWA.

Toyo University
Among the many comprehensive private universities in Tokyo, Toyo University stands out in a class by itself. Boasting more than 125 years of academic distinction, it is famous in Japan for excellence in education and research. Toyo University consists of 4 campuses which house 11 faculties and 44 academic sections, and it is expanding all the time. Toyo University, located in central Tokyo, offers undergraduate programs taught entirely in English.

These English-based programs offer scholarship opportunities for international applicants. Toyo Top Global Scholarship A covers tuition for four years of study and includes a monthly living and housing allowance of JPY 150,000 (~1,500 USD).

University of Surrey
The University of Surrey is one of the UK’s top professional, scientific and technological universities. A number of our programmes are ranked in the top ten in the UK, including Hospitality and Tourism Management, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Psychology, Drama and Business Management. The University of Sydney
Sydney’s climate and stunning landmarks, along with our reputation and world rankings, are just some of the reasons international students flock to The University of Sydney. The University of Sydney offers the best student experience in Australia coupled with state-of-the-art learning environments and academic support services in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. A Study Abroad experience after high school is a brilliant way to kickstart your tertiary education by experiencing an exciting new culture, seeing the world and studying unique subjects. The University of Sydney offers two $6,000 USD scholarships for NSHSS members towards participation in the 2017 Gap & First Year Program for Semester 2 at the University of Sydney.

University of Wollongong
The University of Wollongong (UOW) is a leading Australian university with an international reputation for academic excellence. UOW ranks among the top 2% of universities in the world with an enviable record of achievement in teaching and research. The University offers degree programs across all levels of study, as well as English language and academic bridging programs through UOW College. In Australia, UOW brings together 24,500 students and staff from over 160 nationalities. University of Wollongong offers  a scholarship for NSHSS members to study abroad at UOW for one semester, valued at $3,500.
