I'm very active in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps. at my school. I have only been in it for two years (the 2003-2004 school year will be my third) but I have already risen to the second highest position in the corps. The reason, I have been told, is that I am a good listener. Honestly, I'm not the best at giving advice, but I'm always there to listen to people's problems when they need me. Another thing about me is that I earn respect, not demand it.

The medical field has always captivated me because I feel that I will be able to help people. I want to be able to influence people- to have time to check my work to make sure that everything is right. I want to be sure that people have all the information they need and know what goes with this or that and what could react badly. This is why I want to be a small-town pharmacist. Doctors don't always have the time to talk to patients about what exactly it is that they're taking.

Firstly, I hope to attend Mercyhurst College NorthEast Campus in Erie, PA. It has a joint program with LECOM (the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine) where I would be able to attend Mercyhurst for two years and then LECOM for three and be done in five years instead of the usual six. I hope to become a pharmacist one day =)
