The Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) was established in Seoul, South Korea in 2004 by a Founding Committee consisting of thirteen university representatives from across the Asia Pacific region, and has since expanded to become a thriving association. APAIE aims to encourage greater cooperation between institutions, to enrich and support international programmes, activities and exchanges, and to promote the value of international education across the region and beyond. In doing so, APAIE devotes itself to the principles of mutual respect, diversity and collective progress. We will be exhibiting at Booth 38.

The annual conference provides broad opportunities for professional development, relationship building, shared information and access to the latest in products and services. Discussion topics cover a wide range and have included standardized testing, rising college costs, writing effective letters of recommendation, legislative concerns regarding education and ethnic issues facing admission professionals. The annual business meeting of the association is held during the three-day conference.

NSHSS has partnered with NAAAP (the National Association of Asian American Professionals) to present The Leadership Convention scheduled for Aug. 23-25 (Thursday-Saturday), 2018 at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead, Atlanta. The Leadership Convention will provide NSHSS members with a $35 discount for all ticket types. We encourage our members, and even parents, to attend this event.
The purpose of the convention is to enable and inspire people to assert their leadership to achieve great outcomes in society, business and government. The Leadership Convention consists of several programs and events including a Summit for leaders of employee/business resource groups, four workshop and keynote speaker tracks, a diversity career fair, meal outings with thought leaders and invited speakers, and The ATL Gala. Organized by NAAAP – the National Association of Asian American Professionals, the Convention welcomes attendees from all professional backgrounds, and is inclusive of people of all races and ethnicities.
