Callie Roberts is an International Programs & Partnerships Manager with United Planet. In addition to coordinating Short-Term and Group Volunteer Quests abroad, Callie helps develop new partnerships, facilities Virtual Volunteer and Internships for groups, and coordinates the NSHSS United Planet Merit Scholarship.
Janelle Joyce has her own natural beauty care company called @Goodscentiz on Instagram. She is a natural hair enthusiast and poet. Janelle has also self published her own poetry book. She is graduating with a BS in Health Studies in 2021. Additionally, Janelle is President of Walden University Campus Civitan, received a (B.E.A.M) Black Mental Health & Healing Justice: Peer Support Training Institute Certificate, is an American Public Health Association (APHA) / Women’s Caucus for Public Health member, a Medtigo member, an investor in PuffCuff LLC to bring diversity in the haircare industry for natural hair, a Camille Rose Naturals - Rosette Reels Squad Brand Ambassador, and a Gold Label Cosmetics Affiliate Brand Ambassador. She was a part of THE COLORED GIRL LLC (TCG) "You Are The Colored Girl" Campaign Podcast - E48: You Are the Sun & the Moon with Janelle Joyce.
Caitlin Laska is a student at Northeastern University, studying health science and global health. She has done two Quests with United Planet. Her first Quest was an in-person program in Ecuador, volunteering at a local clinic and teaching preschool, and her second was a virtual Quest in Jordan teaching English. Through both of these Quests, she has been able to explore her career interests of science and education, which helped her gain real world experience and meet so many amazing people!
Michael Ishak is a senior at Loyola High School in Los Angeles, California, and a rising freshman at Princeton University. He is passionate about music, education, writing, and science, and his hobbies include hiking, songwriting, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. He discovered United Planet’s Virtual Internship Programs after engaging with NSHSS during his junior year, and that summer spent two months remotely working with an Okazaki-based tour organization, running virtual language lessons with local Japanese students.
