Kelly Motadel MD, MPH is the Child Health Officer for the County of San Diego. As such, she plays a critical role in planning and directing children’s health programs and providing medical direction to Child Welfare Services, First 5 San Diego, Behavioral Health Services, and other county programs on children’s health topics. Previously, she was the Chief Medical Officer at the Vista Community Clinic (VCC), a Federally Qualified Health Center and Patient Centered Medical Home serving 70,000 patients annually across San Diego, Riverside and Orange County. In 2019, she was a founding member of TIME’S UP Healthcare and completed the Carol Emmott Fellowship, a national recognition program for exceptional female healthcare leaders. Dr. Motadel is dedicated to advocacy that improves health. Dr. Motadel completed her pediatric training through the UC San Francisco at Fresno program and holds an MPH from CSU Fresno. She received her MD degree from UCSD and her BA from Yale University.
Tyler Weiss
Clinical Education Coordinator, Department of Cardiopulmonary Sciences

Tyler Weiss is the Adult Clinical Education Coordinator for the Department of Cardiopulmonary Sciences, Division of Respiratory Care at Rush University Medical Center. Tyler received his Master's in Respiratory Care from Rush University and is currently pursuing his PhD in Health Sciences, also at Rush University. Tyler has presented at numerous regional and national conferences on various topics related to pulmonary medicine. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Tyler has worked on the frontlines caring for patients afflicted with COVID-19. He has multiple publications, most recently as lead author on a paper in the British Journal of Anaesthesia on COVID-19 and prone positioning, as well as a paper in Critical Care journal on strategies to prevent nosocomial infections in healthcare professionals caring for patients with COVID-19. Due to his efforts in the pandemic, Tyler was named one of Chicago's 2020 Notable Health Care Heroes.
