Liberal Education and the Quest for Truth, Freedom, and Greatness

Dr. C. Bradley Thompson from the Lyceum Scholars Program at Clemson University will explain why the best kind of education is a “liberal education,” which means reading and discussing the Great Books of philosophy, literature, history, and politics. Such an education asks the most fundamental questions: What is the good life, what is justice, what is virtue, what is freedom, and what is beauty?  He will explain that a liberal education is also the most practical kind of education.
