NSHSS at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

The National Society of High School Scholars is teaming up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and ALSAC to bring a group of our members to the St. Jude campus in Memphis, Tennessee for a member event designed specifically to explore all aspects of careers in healthcare.

Please note that this event is for MEMBERS 16 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER ONLY. NO parents or guests will be permitted on the St. Jude campus due to the limited number of spots available. NSHSS will provide chaperones and transportation to and from the Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel. Parents and guests are of course welcome to stay at the Sheraton Hotel, as the hotel will not allow anyone younger than 21 years to stay in a room alone. We encourage parents and guests to explore Memphis while attendees are at St. Jude. See a list of things to do in Memphis here

If you are not an NSHSS member AND/OR you are not at least 16 years of age, your ticket will be refunded.

Additionally, please note that you will not be permitted inside the St. Jude hospital if you are sick. This includes any trace of illnesses as minor as the common cold, allergies, etc.

Dinner on Friday and breakfast & lunch on Saturday will be provided.

At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils and with boiling water comes steam and with steam you can power a train. One extra degree makes all the difference!  Since its inception, ALSAC SJCRH has always embraced the extra degree, going above and beyond with the patient family experience, medical research, sharing information, volunteer/donor experience, and employee experience. Participating members will have an opportunity to visit the St. Jude campus, learn about St. Jude history, leadership, career paths at ALSAC SJCRH, and the extra effort it takes to be truly successful.
