2020 Be More Winner Emily Huffstetler leads our first DIY night by showing us how to build homes for mason bees.
Emily won $10,000 in the Be More-a-Thon last year for her nonprofit Build for Bees. Now she'll show us how we can use everyday items to support local pollinators.
All you need is:
1. A coffee cup with a flat bottom (bring your spookiest mug for Halloween)
2. Magazines or other sturdy paper
3. Scissors
4. Glue

Speaker Emily Huffstetler
Emily is the CEO and founder of Build for Bees, a nonprofit that works to restore and protect our bee populations. A sophomore in college, she’s pursuing majors in writing communication, Spanish and design, while working to become a Certified Nonprofit Professional. In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors, reading, and making art!
